2. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Information you provide directly: When you subscribe to our newsletter, submit a contact form, or share a story, you provide your name and email address and any additional details you choose to include.
- Information collected automatically: When you visit our site, we collect standard web server log data including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time of visit. This is collected through Google Analytics and our web host.
- Field guide purchases: The field guide is sold through Amazon (Amazon KDP). We do not process, receive, or store any payment or billing information for these purchases. See Section 4 for more detail.

- Understand how our content is used so we can improve it.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for advertising. We do not share your information with third parties except as described in Section 6.
4. Field Guide Purchases (Amazon)
Amazon collects and processes your information under its own privacy notice, which you can review at amazon.com/privacy. We may receive general, aggregated sales data from Amazon KDP (such as total copies sold), but we do not receive your personal or payment information as part of that reporting.
Silent Voices Elder Advocacy is an independent platform and is not a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Purchases of the field guide are not tax-deductible donations.
5. Email Subscriptions
When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address through Jetpack Subscriptions (WordPress.com). Your email is used only to deliver our newsletter and advocacy updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
We do not send commercial marketing emails. We do not sell subscriber lists. Subscriber data is stored securely through WordPress.com and is subject to the WordPress.com Privacy Policy in addition to this policy.
